It’s LOVE Week!
I know, it sounds like something that should happen on Valentine’s, but that’s not the case at all. It’s an event put together by the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church to support the Region, and I think it’s a really great idea.
This is the second Love Week; there was one in 2018. This one has been effected by Covid-19, in that it was supposed to be earlier in the year and had to be delayed. And of course with Covid, the nature of some of the things planned had to change as well.
I spoke with Community Pastor David Hockley about Love Week:
I’d like to congratulate the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church for doing this, and for showing that love for the Community. How about taking part yourself – simply by doing something nice for someone, be it a meal for an elderly neighbour or paying for someone’s coffee, to volunteering to help at a place that could use your help. We all can do our part, be it during love week or any other time.
In a world that is sometimes filled with darkness, be the light!
