A brand new bulk water filling station is now operational in the Town of Yarmouth.
The town’s Water Utility boasts that it’s modern, safe, and centrally located to serve residents of Yarmouth County.
The self-serve station can be found at the corner of Forest Street and Industry Avenue and will begin operating 24/7 on Monday.
Thursday and Friday’s “soft opening” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will allow staff to make any necessary adjustments.
Users will have to use a credit card on-site while staff work through getting Interac up and running.
It’s $3.47 per 1000 L, a rate set by the province’s Utility and Review Board.
The station is being financed by the Town of Yarmouth Water Utility to the tune of $180,000.
The new station will fill the void left by the now-closed Brenton filling station, and was two months in the making.
