Work on the sewer separation project on Main Street in Yarmouth is nearing completion.
The stretch is expected to be re-paved by June 1st.
Mayor Pam Mood says she’s heard concerns from store owners about lost business and parking.
She says the CAO met with the owners to assure them they won’t lose parking.
Mood says the future is bright for those businesses.
“I’m pretty excited for those business once the work is completed, because business will go up. They are losing it on one end, but hopefully it will go up on the other.”
Mood says on Monday and Tuesday, crews will be working on bump-outs.
That will restrict wheelchair access to certain areas of sidewalks.
“They are taking away the ramp to get up onto the sidewalk, but it’s only for two days and then that work will be complete.”
