The Wade’s Wire Traps Five Star Roofing Bantam AA Mariners traveled to Glace Bay this weekend to take part in the 2016-2017 Bantam AA Provincials.
They battled their way through to the semi finals playing their final game against the Acadia Axemen.
They finished off their season in a nail biter game that ended in double over time and a shootout.
The final score was 3-2 for Acadia.
During the tournament Player of the Game awards were handed out.
Evan Saulnier and Hayden Young were awarded 3 each.
Zach d’Arcy and Liam Campbell were each awarded 2.
Evan Saulnier was named a first team all-star as a defenseman.
The team was presented with the Hockey Nova Scotia Fair Play Award at the tournament banquet.
