A vision into the future for the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth.
They recently released a new strategic plan for the next four years.
It focuses on growth and development into 2029, built on several pillars.
They include promoting a sustainable economy with key infrastructure investments, making more transparency in governance, improving recreation and emergency preparedness for people, and making asset management a priority with financial responsibility.
In a release, CAO Victoria Brooks says the core of the plan is accountability and responsiveness, and they’ll make sure MODY adapts to changing circumstances while focusing on the long term.
Warden John Cunningham says they want to skillfully manage key opportunities while addressing challenges that may arise.
He says the plan covers what they’ve heard from residents, and makes sure it focuses on areas that matter most to them.
