If you’re in need of a Christmas dinner, you can come to the Yarmouth Legion.
For nearly 30 years, Brenda Hattie has led a group of volunteers in serving meals on Christmas Day.
Hattie says it brings the community together.
“It makes me feel very good that somebody is getting a hot meal. That’s what Christmas is all about, helping one another. That’s how I was brought up,” said Hattie.
The meals start at 12, you can also get one delivered by contacting the Legion.
Hattie says it’s open to everyone.
“Whether you’re out plowing roads, driving a taxi or any kind of work on Christmas Day. Come on out to the Legion and get a hot meal.”
She thanks all the volunteers and businesses who donated time and food to the cause.
It’s also part of the town’s ‘100 Meals’ program.
