It’s a ‘Miracle on Dock Street.’
The fourth annual festival celebrates the Christmas season in downtown Shelburne.
The main event is the stationary parade from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Community development coordinator Robin Smith says it’s one of her favourite events of the year.
“We have 28 floats this year, the same number as last year but many different floats. We are very excited for the event, the roads will close at 4, then a drive-thru will happen for vehicles containing people with mobility issues from 5:30 to 6,” says Smith.
Fireworks will be shot-off at 7:45 p.m.
Smith is part of the Shelburne Events Committee.
“It’s going to be a full day of setting up, and being at the information booths and doing the little things. We have a great team, and we all really look forward to doing this every year.”
A new event this year is a Reindeer Run at Islands Park at 10 a.m.
‘Whoville’ is also set up at the park next to TLC Pharmasave.
There will be several road closures downtown during the event.
