A first for the Yarmouth Mariners this season.
They won their third straight game Sunday, defeating the Valley Wildcats 3-2 on the road.
Ethan Hoffe had the winner in the third, and Carter Arnold made 40 saves for the victory.
The win propelled the Mariners into third place in their division and out of sixth and last-place.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says they had great contributions and goaltending.
“We’ve had injuries like I’ve never seen before. We’re getting some healthy bodies back now and putting guys in spots where they fit. I’m happy for the players, it was a bit of a bumpy road there for a while, but we’re reaping some of the rewards,” said Barron.
Yarmouth beat Amherst 3-2 on home ice Friday night, Ben Manos had the game-winner in the third period and Thomas Fontaine got the win in net.
The Mariners have Campbellton this Friday and Valley on Sunday, both at home.
