Argyle has its first ever female warden.
Nicole Albright was chosen by the new council at a swearing-in ceremony on Thursday.
Albright thanked council for helping to break down barriers.
“And the fact that you were willing to have a female as warden, shows how you are diverse and open and willing to move forward,” said Albright.
She previously served as deputy warden under Danny Muise, who was not re-elected this term.
Albright says she’s looking forward to the next four years.
“We’ve done some great things over the last 12 years that I’ve been on council, and I look forward to continuing with positive accomplishments and successes.”
The new deputy warden is Ted Saulnier.
