Yarmouth’s warden is excited for the next four years.
John Cunningham was chosen by the new council at a swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday to serve his second-consecutive term in the position.
He says he’s looking forward to continuing projects.
“I’m really excited to see where our strategic planning sessions are going to go, and that’s going to move our municipality ahead over the next four years. I’m also looking forward to breaking ground and opening the expansion piece at the Mariners Centre, that’s something we’ve been working on since 2018,” said Cunningham.
Cunningham says the new councillors will bring in new ideas, and he’s excited to see where it goes.
“A new council brings new ideas. They’ve just campaigned and talked to the public, so they’ll bring the ideas in and see where we go.”
Trevor Cunningham was named deputy warden once again.
