A project promoting the regions’ ATV trails now has provincial funding.
The Western Regional Enterprise Network’s ‘Get Side-Tracked’ project got over $213,000 to help with signage, branding and a website.
It will help businesses along the trails in Digby and Shelburne counties increase their visibility.
Economic development minister Susan Corkum-Greek made the announcement in Barrington.
“When community identifies an opportunity, it’s the best money that government can invest, to support these groups that identify these opportunities right here at home. This project is going to make a difference,” said Corkum-Greek.
The trail system runs for 200 kilometres, and the goal is to increase visitors to the region.
