Fire at an apartment building in Yarmouth.
It happened Monday morning around 4 a.m. at a four-unit building on Barnard Street.
Fire chief Mike Deveau says career staff and volunteers responded.
“One of the units was fully involved when we got there. We stretched two attack lines and knocked the fire down, it took us a bit of time obviously,” said Deveau.
No one was hurt, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross is assisting those who are displaced.
“They are providing some accommodations, and the housing authority will be working on temporary accommodations until the building is repaired,” added Deveau.
Departments from Lake Vaughn, Port Maitland and Eel Brook also assisted.
