Funding for several groups in the Tri-Counties.
It’s through an anonymous grant, run by the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Last month, 12 non-profit organizations received a portion of $300,000.
CEO Daniel Holland says they’re thrilled to help support these groups.
“This is about grass-roots organizations serving the social determinants of health, and people living healthier lives throughout those communities,” said Holland.
Some of the recipients include the Tri-County Women’s Centre, the VON and Yarmouth Life Skills.
Holland says their work is inspiring.
“They inspire community, and the individual who opened this fund provided a great gift for Nova Scotians, particularly here in Southwest Nova Scotia.”
Over $700,000 has been given out since 2021.
