A new multi-sport court is open at Mariners Centre.
It was made possible through funding from Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program and Yarmouth’s three municipal units.
The court features basketball and tennis nets, and is accessible for all.
Glenn McLean with the Jumpstart program says they’re excited to help bring the space to the community.
“It’s going to create an inclusive play-space for the community, and it’s going to get a lot of use, I can tell just by looking at it, and it’s a great location. A fantastic opportunity for kids,” said McLean.
A grand-opening event will be held next summer to mark Jumpstart’s 20th anniversary.
