The Yarmouth Fire Department is hosting an open house.
It happens tomorrow from 2-4 p.m. as part of Fire Prevention Week.
Chief Mike Deveau says they have a lot of dedicated volunteers that give time to keep their community safe.
“We’d like to be able to have the community come in and have a chat with our career staff and volunteers, and see what it is we do. Of course we’re always looking for new volunteers, we’ll have applications on hand,” said Deveau.
Deveau says there will also be training on how to use a fire extinguisher, and lots of tours of all the trucks and equipment.
“We’ll let the kids and families use some fire hoses out back too, it will be a great day.”
There will be cake and bouncy castles on site.
