Another suspicious fire in Belliveau’s Cove.
RCMP say it happened around 4 a.m. Friday, on Hwy 1.
A significant part of the building was destroyed, no one was inside at the time.
This is the second fire on the public grounds this summer.
The first was August 14 around 3:30 a.m., at the back of the building and is still under investigation.
Officers are investigating a possible connection between the two fires but say there is no indication at this time it’s related to the ongoing organized crime group, or the fisheries dispute.
Anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or may have information that could support the investigation is asked to call Meteghan RCMP at 902-645-2326. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
