Federal funding for tourism in Digby.
The Digby Area Tourism Association is getting $95,000 to help with a destination development strategy.
It includes a plan to focus on the region’s potential for tourism, extending the visiting season.
Rural Economic Development Minister Gudie Hutchings made the announcement during a visit to the area.
She says it will help the Digby region attract more visitors and provide more jobs for the local economy.
The money comes from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
