Big fish and good times in Yarmouth County.
The annual Wedgeport Tuna Tournament and Festival was held last week.
The 20th anniversary saw 20 boats set sail last week to see who could catch the largest tuna.
The ‘Sea Devil’ caught the heaviest bluefin at 666 pounds, and also the most weight at over 1,250 pounds.
A pageant was held last week, Hannah Hubbard was named the Tuna Queen for 2024.
There was a fun run, food and events, and a big closing ceremony on Saturday with live music.
The festival began during the Congres Mondial Acadien.
