New training requirements for serving drinks at bars.
The province says all staff at over 2,400 licensed establishments will soon have to take a responsible alcohol service course.
Service Nova Scotia minister Colton LeBlanc says this will improve safety.
Concert and festival workers also may need to be trained, depending on the size of the event.
The requirements come into effect on December 1.
Last year, the province started requiring cabaret security staff to take training and provide a criminal record check.
