A local pet store has been working hard to raise money.
Yarmouth Pet Valu on Starrs Road raised over $44,500 for Friends of Trap, Neuter, Release in June.
It’s the second highest total among Pet Valu’s 700-plus stores nationwide.
Manager Sara Crosby says it’s for a great cause.
“They do a lot of local adoptions, and we got around to our local businesses that do a lot of donating to us, and we did a lot of fundraising in store,” said Crosby.
She says 13 kittens were adopted out in one weekend through the local store.
Crosby says they appreciate the support of devoted pet lovers.
