An interactive way to learn about our Acadian heritage.
Forty new bilingual panels have been installed in Clare, Argyle and Yarmouth.
It’s phase one of modernizing the Acadian Shores Interpretive Tour.
Clare tourism manager Larry Peach says it’s a self-guided tour of heritage sites.
“It’s a great way to explore historic sites that will enrich your stay on the Acadian shores of southwest Nova Scotia,” said Peach.
Each panel has a QR code, later this year a series of videos will be added.
Peach says it’s great to have the panels in place ahead of next weeks’ Congres Mondial Acadien.
“They have more information, more images and just more overall content than the previous generation of panels did.”
A new website has been launched with a custom Google Map.
The project cost about $260,000, with funding from all levels of government.
