Beautiful weather and lots of participants through Yarmouth Seafest.
The festival wrapped up on Saturday with a Kids Day on the waterfront.
Seafest president Darryl LeBlanc says they were able to put on a great show, despite rising costs.
“We have to really tighten our belts and try to put on a show that doesn’t cost as much as it did in previous years, but we’re still able to put on a great event,” said LeBlanc.
The Roaring 20’s Antique Auto Club hosted the Classic Car Show and Cruise, which drew thousands to the area.
Both weekends of the festival, along with the opening picnic in Frost Park had lots of sunshine.
LeBlanc says kids and families really enjoyed it.
“Beach Day was really great, and the annual herring toss as well. The kids one on Saturday had about 13 teams. Seeing all the people out in the community, that’s really the great thing.”
LeBlanc says they’ll start meeting in September to plan next year’s festival.
He adds volunteers are welcome to reach out on their Facebook page.
