A sombre anniversary in our province.
One year ago today, four people died in flash flooding in Brooklyn, Hants County.
Two young children, Natalie Harnish and Colton Sisco were victims, along with 14-year-old Terri-Lynn Keddy and 52-year-old Nicholas Holland.
West Hants Regional Municipality Mayor Abraham Zebian says the community is still healing.
“Everyday that passes, we remember Colton, Natalie, Terri-Lynn and Nicholas, and continue to extend our sincerest condolences to their families and friends,” said Mayor Zebian in a video statement.
He thanked the first responders and community members who came to help.
Roads and bridges were washed out as over 250 millimetres of rain fell in 24 hours.
