There was a hole in the Killam building on Yarmouth’s waterfront.
Eyewitnesses say a vehicle left Water Street and drove into the building Wednesday morning, no one was hurt.
Patti Durkee with the Friends of the Yarmouth Light says they run the Yarmouth Peddlers gift shop, which took the impact.
“It was quite a shock to hear that someone drove into the wall. Thankfully no one was hurt, and the museum is still intact. We’ll have to start from scratch with the Peddlers Shop,” said Durkee.
Durkee says structurally the building is fine, and the Harbourfront Museum will be able to open.
We’ve reached out to RCMP for more details.
