A homicide victim’s monument has been vandalized in Digby County.
The stone for Vernon Doucet had been removed from its location at a cemetery in Comeauville and spray painted.
RCMP in Meteghan believe it’s related to this week’s announcement of charges in Doucet’s death.
He died in hospital in 2022 after a home invasion left him severely injured.
Thirty-three-year-old Tyler Colbert Andrew Langford of Weymouth has been charged with second degree murder.
RCMP say they anticipate more charges against another individual will be coming, and they’re investigating the vandalism.
