The Yarmouth Mariners drafted seven new players and acquired a forward by trade at the MHL Draft.
Before the morning even began in Truro, the Mariners dealt away their second round pick to West Kent in exchange for the rights to Luke Dooley.
He was a point-per-game player with the Halifax Macs last season.
The Mariners first pick came third overall, they took Dartmouth Steele Subaru forward Owen O’Donnell.
The Mariners drafted another Nova Scotian with their fourth round pick, Cole MacLeod from Cole Harbour.
Yarmouth selected four players from Newfoundland in the draft, including the younger brother of former player Nolan Cleary, Ewen Cleary.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says they are pleased with their draft and the scouts worked hard all season to get the best available players.
