Andrew Lord is the new coach of the Halifax Mooseheads.
The 39-year-old native of West Vancouver, B.C becomes the 14th bench boss in franchise history.
Lord just won the ECHL Coach of the Year award, he spent the last four seasons with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
Brad MacKenzie was promoted to associate coach.
Team owner Sam Simon says Lord stood out as the right coach to lead the young roster into the future.
General Manager Cam Russell says they’re thrilled to have Lord join the staff and take the reigns of the revamped roster.
The Mooseheads dealt away veteran players Markus Vidicek, Dylan MacKinnon and Mathieu Cataford ahead of last weekend’s draft.
