The Frotten Road Bridge in Quinan is closed.
Public works staff says water levels are rising, and will impact the bridge.
Shane Strong with Yarmouth’s regional emergency management office says it’s necessary.
“We’re three inches from the bridge right now with the water levels. Once it caresses the bridge, public works will put in a walking bridge,” said Strong.
Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue are in the area today to inform residents.
Strong says this will ensure the safety of residents on the road.
