Cowboy hats and boots are a common sight as the excitement builds for YQM Country Fest.
Top country artists including Morgan Wallen and Keith Urban will hit the stage in Dieppe, N.B., starting Thursday.
Sam Bourgeois, the show’s promoter, said more than 20,000 fans will attend the three-day festival.
“The Maritimes is the main focus, however, we draw quite a bit from Quebec and Ontario, and even parts of the United States,” Bourgeois said in a recent year.
This is the second year of the show, which takes place at the MusiquART Site.
Other artists include Thomas Rhett, Ernest, Brett Kissel, Seaforth, Lauren Watkins, Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, Eli Young Band, Mackenzie Porter, Cole Swindell, Gabby Barrett, The Washboard Union, and Nat Smith.
“There’s a big demand for country music here. We think there was a demand for a newer and hotter festival, and here we are,” said Bourgeois.
The first show in 2022 brought country music superstars such as Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Brett Young, Dean Brody, Jordan Davis, High Valley, and Scotty McCreery.
Limited tickets are still available for this weekend’s festival. Doors open at 1 p.m. each day with the show running from 3 to 11 p.m.
More details about parking, shuttle services, and what is and is not allowed on-site can be found on the YQM Country Fest website.
Meanwhile, there will be several street closures in Dieppe due to the festival. The full list can be found on the City of Dieppe’s website.
