Fish Aid was a music festival back in 1998! It was supposed to be an annual festival like Farm Aid in the US but it never really reached it’s high hopes. The whole point was to raise money and hope for fishers in the area during a bit of a rough patch in the fishing industry’s history.
A listener recently shared these pictures of her old Fish Aid ticket stubs from over 20 years ago and I thought it would be a good time to talk about it! Apparently the music was good but the venue and the organization may not have been up to scratch! I would have loved to see it! Jann Arden was there as well as the Rankin Family and Bruce Cockburn to name a few!
