After being voted out as National Chief of the assembly of First Nations just last week, RoseAnne Archibald is calling for her reinstatement.
In a video posted to her Facebook page, Archibald encouraged her supporters to contact their chiefs and leaders to push for her reinstatement.
“I don’t want to be reinstated because of my ego, I want to be reinstated because I have a sacred responsibility that I have to fulfill,” said Archibald in the video.
71 percent of First Nations chiefs and leaders voted in favour of removing Archibald. They cited reports of workplace harassment and bullying as the driving factor.
Archibald was the first woman elected as national chief of the AFN.
They have yet to comment on Archibald’s bid for reinstatement.
