The father of one of the three people connected to the murder of Colton Cook is detailing a key phone call from his son.
Keith Siscoe Sr. says his son told him over the phone Robert Rogers had shot someone who was now dead.
He says all three charged in the case eventually came to his house one night in early October of 2020. Siscoe Sr. encouraged Rogers to “man up” and admit his guilt.
Rogers remained in the home after Siscoe Sr. went to sleep. The next morning his girlfriend found a note which read “My name is Robert Rogers I’m responsible for Colton Cook’s death.”
They then alerted RCMP about the note.
Rogers is facing multiple charges including second-degree murder in the death of the Yarmouth County man.
Crawford and Keith Siscoe Jr. have already pleaded guilty in the case.
Earlier today RCMP officers told the court they were surveilling the home owned by Siscoe Jr., where Rogers and Crawford were also residing, and observed the latter two leaving in a vehicle. The RCMP followed and pulled the vehicle over.
Rogers was driving with Crawford in the passenger seat. The officer noticed Crawford had concealed a shotgun in his sleeve and arrested the two men.
The jury also saw video from the night it’s believed Colton Cook was murdered. Surveillance video from a garage near the residence of Keith Siscoe Jr. shows Cook’s vehicle arriving and then later departing though it is not clear who was driving.
Today was the third day of the murder trial in Yarmouth Supreme Court.
