I am a fan of M&Ms , love that candy that melts in your mouth and not in your hand .
I would always look forward to getting some in my Halloween candy but it wasn’t something that I would just go out and purchase as a snack .
M&Ms were first released in 1941. From their beginnings as snacks for World War II soldiers, to their time aboard both the first and last NASA space missions. That just show us how popular this candy really is.
Below I have listed a few FUN Facts about M&M’s
The “M&M” was modeled after Forrest Mars, Sr. observed soldiers in Spain in the 1930s eating chocolate pellets with a hard shell of tempered chocolate. This prevented the candies from melting, essential when included in soldiers’ rations.
From 1976 to 1985, there were no red M&M’s
Blue M&M’s were introduced in 1995
M&M’s were taken along on the first space shuttle voyage in 1982
There are 340 million M&M’s produced daily
