Good Morning!
I have been seeing all sorts of photo’s from The Balancing Rock Trail over the past few month on social media so I decided to make the trip to Digby County and do the trail to the site. It’s a couple hours drive from my home , the roads are decent and the scenery is great. Make a day trip of it and be sure to take both ferries and end your trip on Briar Island . The trail has a quarter mile of stairs only so be prepared to climb them ” Back Up” . The trail has a couple boardwalks and some rutted up sections with many roots and rocks , walk carefully and you will be fine , bring a walking stick if you want to .

Where is The Balancing Rock ? CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS
How was it formed ? – Wikipedia tells us The undercut base was attributed for many years to simple wind abrasion, but is now believed to result from a combination of wind and enhanced chemical weathering at the base where moisture would be retained longest.
I like to think of it as a beautiful part of the area I live in ” The Tri – Counties ”
Have ever visited this Trail ?
