Rain and fog has helped cool things off a bit in Nova Scotia.
We just went through a four-day heat-wave, with temperatures feeling like 40 in some areas.
Ian Hubbard, Environment Canada meteorologist says it’s common to have consecutive days of extreme heat this time of year.
“We tend to see records being set multiple days in a row, and that will usually happen a couple times through the summer,” says Hubbard.
There were 18 temperature records set from August 4th to 8th, it was 34.6 degrees at Ingonish Beach on Sunday.
He says things will feel a bit different over the next few days.
“We have a bit of unsettled weather, with drizzle along some areas. We aren’t seeing a lot of trends in terms of clearing out that moisture right now.”
Hubbard says we’ll experience showers and fog, and the humidity won’t be as extreme.
