Hockey Canada has named their roster for the 2022 World Junior team.
Among the returning players include 17-year old junior star Connor Bedard, Ducks prospect Mason MacTavish and Blue Jackets forward Kent Johnson.
A number of games were played last December, but due to COVID outbreaks the tournament was postponed.
Some players from that team will not be back, including forwards Shane Wright and Cole Perfetti.
Memorial Cup champion William Dufour of the Sea Dogs, and Nova Scotia’s Riley Kidney are some of the names announced as replacements.
The tournament begins August 9th in Edmonton.
