Nova Scotia Health says high patient volumes and ongoing staffing challenges are creating longer than normal wait times for patients going to the department at Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
They say space in the waiting area is extremely limited, so it’s recommended you visit alone, unless absolutely necessary.
Nova Scotia Health says accessing primary healthcare can be done through Virtual Care NS if you’re on the ‘Need A Family Practice’ registry.
If you’re coming to the emergency department, they remind you that you must enter the hospital through the North-front main entrance by admitting/registration.
