The Sherose Island Schooners split a doubleheader with Windsor at home yesterday. The Schooners are now 4-6 on the season.
Yarmouth County Minor Baseball Association:
The Yarmouth Chris Scott Construction 15U A Gateways played a doubleheader against the first place Hammonds Plains A’s on Saturday at Mariners Field. The Gateways couldn’t get their bats going in game one and lost 8-3. The second game Sophie Thimot pitched another gem, a 71 pitch complete game and the Gateways won 9-1.
The Yarmouth 14U Gateways Girls hosted Hammonds Plains A’s for a double header on Saturday. The Gateways lost 12-10 in the first game, but took Game 2 12-2. The team is coached by Curtis Falls, Aaron Crowell and Chris Pyne.
The Yarmouth U12 Modern Realty Gateway girls won their first game of the season over the Tri-County Rangers 12-6. They fell 8-6 in the second game.
The Yarmouth U11 Gateways won both games of a doubleheader yesterday against the Weymouth Firebirds.
