A 19 year-old Yarmouth man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing yesterday.
William Wolf McChesney was arrested after RCMP responded to an apartment on Main Street just after 1:30 a.m.
Police say a 38-year-old Yarmouth woman was stabbed at the apartment.
She suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries, and was taken to hospital.
McChesney is also facing charges including assault with a weapon and assault by choking.
He appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court and was remanded into custody, he is due back in court today.
RCMP say the victim and suspect are known to each other.
