Two more people have been charged with murder related to a fatal house fire in Pinkney’s Point.
The arrests were made yesterday. Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime arrested 20 year old Brooklyn Gavel of Pinkney’s Point, in Middleton and 41 year old Michael Roland Surette of Pinkney’s Point, in Dartmouth.
Both are charged with First Degree Murder and appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court.
Gavel and Surette were remanded and will return to court on June 7 and 28, respectively.
The fire took place in March. Responders found the home engulfed in fire and the remains of Joseph Wickens inside after it was extinguished.
The RCMP say the investigation is continuing.
On April 27, Dillon Burton Deveau was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder in relation to the investigation. He has been in custody ever since.
