A solution to the deer overpopulation in the Town of Yarmouth will soon be discussed.
Council is planning to develop a Deer Management Strategy Working Group to address the issue.
At this month’s council meeting, the town adopted a modified version of the terms of reference of Truro’s deer management strategy.
Mayor Pam Mood says it will represent a number of different groups.
“We have a couple of councillors, hunters, lands and forests, and we’ll have some citizens on the group as well,” says Mood.
She says they are looking to take the next steps to alleviate the issue.
The town says they’ve been dealing with the overpopulation of deer since 2014.
