A 30 year-old man is facing a first-degree murder charge after a house fire in Pinkney’s Point, Yarmouth County.
Dillon Burton Deveau of North Chegoggin is appearing in Yarmouth Provincial Court today after being arrested on Wednesday.
On March 17th, police located the remains of 43 year old Joseph Wickens of Stoney Island inside the burned-out home.
Several departments including the offices of the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal and the Medical Examiner have been involved in the investigation.
Deveau is being held in custody on the charge.
RCMP are continuing their investigation.
