Nova Scotians were quick to book their summer camping trips on the first day reservations opened.
Statistics provided by the province reveal that by 2 p.m. on Tuesday 7,271 bookings had been made. Nova Scotians accounted for 90 per cent.
The province is taking a staggered approach to opening up its reservation system this year due to the high demand.
On Day 1, you could book trips at six campgrounds including Rissers Beach, Blomidon, Ellenwood Lake, The Islands, Thomas Raddall, and Valleyview parks.
The most popular spot appears to be Rissers Beach where half the trips were booked.

The next top destination was claimed by Blomidon Provincial Park with 1,200 bookings.
We broke records last year, with more than 91,000 nights booked as people turned to camping to get through COVID.
The province says that based on the latest numbers Nova Scotia can expect to see a similar demand this year.
The next round of bookings opened at 9 a.m. Wednesday for Amherst Shore, Cape Chignecto, Dollar Lake, Five Islands, Laurie, Porters Lake, and Smileys parks.
You can schedule your trip for the remaining parks on Thursday.
