The Nova Scotia Legislature will move to a hybrid model after multiple cases of COVID-19.
MLA’s unanimously agreed to allow the 55 members of the legislature to attend either in person or from home.
There have been at least five cases of COVID confirmed since the start of the spring sitting.
Premier Tim Houston took some criticism after a COVID alert was sent out after a positive case at the legislature two weeks ago.
Critics claimed it set two sets of standards for politicians and everyone else because the province no longer issues exposure notifications for public spaces or schools.
Houston said the decision was made by Speaker Keith Bain. He added an exception should not have been made for politicians.
