Digby’s Wharf Rat Rally is on.
The rally’s Facebook page says bikes will be rolling into town from September first to fourth.
Digby Mayor Ben Cleveland says while they’ve seen a lot more bikers around Digby in the two years without the rally, they’re looking forward to a full event.
“Economically it’s a huge boon,” says Cleveland. “If you talk to a lot of the restaurants who have suffered severely because of COVID-19 and the loss of the rally, well they’ve really struggled so they’re excited to have it back.”
The organizers of the rally are currently taking submissions for bands and performers.
Cleveland says the community is excited for the return of the rally.
“It does get quite loud, gets quite crowded, gets quite congested but I think the community needs something to celebrate so the Wharf Rat Rally is going to help us do that.”
