An Ontario company will build their first Nova Scotian building in Yarmouth County.
Dancor Construction Ltd. will construct a 12,000 square foot facility on ten acres of land in the Hebron Business Park.
The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth says FedEx will be the tenant.
Warden John Cunningham says work will begin soon for opening in the fall.
“We’re very excited that our industrial park is being utilized for the purpose that it was built for. It’s a very short timeline, and a lot of work remains to get these buildings up in time for the fall,” says Cunningham.
While not officially confirming the tenant, Partner with Dancor Sean Ford says they see the area as a great hub for industrial and commercial buildings in Yarmouth County.
“Not everybody needs to be in the perceived centre of the province. We tend to think Yarmouth will be a centre of activity on the industrial side. It’s the right place for us, and our client,” says Ford.
Dancor will also build a light industrial building on a five acre lot next door for lease.
