Valley High School Hockey League:
The Par-en-Bas Sharks got two wins over the weekend. On Friday, they beat Digby 6-3. Spencer Surette and Caleb d’Entremont each scored twice. On Sunday, they defeated Barrington 7-3. Spencer Surette had a hat-trick and two assists and Riley Hubbard scored twice. Miguel Surette was in net for both games.
On Saturday, Clare beat the Barons 5-2. Ryan Trimper had two goals for the Loups.
Yarmouth Gentleman’s League:
In the Yarmouth Gentleman’s League, the Barrington Chiefs beat Rhyno’s Towing 5-3 Sunday. Jordan Scott led the way for Barrington, while Alex Muise had two goals for Rhyno’s.
Minor Hockey:
Wade’s Wire Traps U15 AA Mariners fell 3-1 to Truro Saturday. Boston Aldred had the lone goal, and Adam Bowie was in net. On Sunday, the Mariners beat Acadia 5-2 at home. Callum Longmire had two goals, Ashton Samms, Boston Aldred and Marcel Jacquard also scored. Longmire, Samms, Aldred and Lexx d’Entremont had assists, and Rylan LeBlanc got the win in net.
The East Side Fisheries U15 A Mariners played three games over the weekend. On Saturday, they lost 7-2 to Acadia. Damien Cottreau and Declan Fitzgerald scored. Yarmouth lost 2-0 to South Shore on Sunday at home. On Monday, the Mariners lost 7-5 in Barrington. Caden Duncan scored twice, Damien Cottreau, Bryce Fitzgerald and Jaxon Churchill also scored. Zander White was in net for all games.
