UPDATED: 12 p.m.: Thousands of Nova Scotians are without power as an intense wind and rain storm sweeps through the region.
Here in the Tri-Counties, there are scattered outages, most with estimated restoration times from Nova Scotia Power at 6 p.m.
This hour in Yarmouth County, the bigger outages are in Kemptville and Deerfield.
In Digby County, there are some outages in Clare, and from Ashmore all the way to Smith’s Cove. Digby Elementary and Digby High were dismissed early.
Outages in Shelburne include most of Clyde River down to Lower Ohio and Welshtown.

UPDATED: 11 a.m.: Power has been restored in the Town of Yarmouth. A new outage has appeared through Kemptville, affecting 350 customers. Power remains out through most of the Municipality of Digby, as well as Upper Ohio to Welshtown in Shelburne County. Over 21,000 customers without power in Nova Scotia.
UPDATED: 9:30 a.m.: Digby Elementary will be dismissing at approx. 10:15 a.m. and Digby Regional High School at approx. 11:15 due to power issues this morning.
UPDATED: 7:40 a.m: Power has been restored from Brazil Lake through Carleton, Forest Glen and Kemptville.

UPDATED: 7:25 a.m.: An outage affecting the Town of Yarmouth from midtown south to Chebogue Point.
Nearly 1,800 customers are in the dark, and the estimated restoration time according to NS Power is 6 p.m.

UPDATED: 6:30 a.m.: We have some power outages to tell you about this morning.
Over 900 people are in the dark from Brazil Lake through Carleton, Forest Glen and Kemptville.
The outage has closed Carleton Consolidated Elementary School for the day.
Estimated restoration time is tonight around 6.
There’s also no power in some areas of Digby County, around Marshalltown, Brighton and Barton, as well as Acaciaville down to Sissiboo Falls, and Smith’s Cove to Bear River.
There are also reports of smaller scattered outages in Argyle Head, Raynardton and some parts of Shelburne County.
