The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners return to action tomorrow for the first time in two months.
They’ll visit the Pictou County Crushers in their first game since December 16th.
The Mariners will come back to Yarmouth to host the Crushers on Friday night at 7:30, and the Bearcats on Saturday night.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says they’re ready to go.
“We’ve had a couple of weeks of real good solid practices. Everyone has their legs under them now and are ready to go. No rest for the wicked, we get a three-in-three right off the hop,” says Barron.
The Mariners come out of the extended layoff with a two point lead on Amherst for first place in their division.
Barron says he’s excited for the fans to see new additions like Jack Morris and Max-Antoine Melancon hit the ice.
“They’re really excited to be on the home side. Our guys are like small kids right now, they’re just so excited to get back to it. You don’t realize how much you miss something until it’s taken away.”
