A Weymouth man has been charged in a convenience store robbery and arson.
We learned last Wednesday that a man entered Saulnierville Kwik-Way, robbed it and set it on fire.
There were no injuries, and the fire was extinguished by the Little Brook fire department, with assistance from St. Bernard and Meteghan.
In an update this morning, Meteghan RCMP say 35 year old Scott Melbourne Hill was arrested on Friday at a residence in Easton.
RCMP learned a man stole a tractor from that residence, after stealing an ATV from a property in St. Alphonse.
Hill is charged with robbery, arson, unlawful confinement, uttering threats and two counts of motor vehicle theft.
The RCMP did not provide details on the circumstances of Hill’s unlawful confinement charge.
He was remanded into custody, and will appear in Digby Provincial Court on February 24th.
